The following items were brought home by a veteran of the 113th FA (Field Artillery) attached to the 79th Division. The 113th FA was out of North Carolina and fought in the following WWII campaigns: Rome-Arno, Normandy, Northern France, North Apennines, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe, Po Valley.

- WWII enamel screw-back 113th FA DI (Distinctive Insignia) made by Robbins Co., Attleboro
- Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmact Armband – Stitching indicates the armband was removed from a sleeve
- NSFK Tinnie – Marked “Skimettkompfe Des NS – Fliegerkorps – Innsbruck, 10-12. 2. 1939.” The back is marked “G. Brehmer, Markneukirchen, RZM M 9/4″. The pin is missing for this tinnie.
- WWI Era Badge – Marked “König Friedrich – Wilhelm III. Kaiser Wilhem II.” The back is marked “1813-1913, Zur Erinnerung, An Das 100 Jährige Bestehen Des Regiments”

This WWII German field insignia for a Oberleutenant was commonly seen worn by German Heer (Army) and Waffen SS personnel on their field coats and parkas. It is in unsued condition and originally came with other insignia brought home by a US GI who served in WWII.

In 1939 Hitler instituted the Bar for the first and second class Iron Cross to be bestowed to recipients of the 1939 Iron Cross who had also been awarded a first or second class 1914 Iron Cross during WWI.
This original award is nickel/silver plated over a die struck alloy material. The ribbon is an original piece of WWI Iron Cross 2nd class ribbon.
