This 1964 T-Series Browning Hi-Power 9mm and modified jungle jacket came from a Special Forces veteran who served multiple tours in Vietnam.  Both were used by the vet while he served in Kontum with MACV-SOG as a Platoon Leader with B Co. Hatchet Force (Command & Control Central).  He also participated in Operation Tailwind and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for Valor.

The jungle jacket is modified with slant pockets added to the upper sleeves.  The breast pockets are straightened across the chest with French-style zippers added to the sides for quick access while wearing a STABO, ruck, LBE, etc.

Included with the Browning Hi-Power are original copies of:

• DD 603-1 (War Trophy Registration / Authorization ) form
• A US document from the Provost Marshall in Saigon regarding export permit to transfer the pistol to CONUS (continental United States)
• A South Vietnamese document typed in Vietnamese with the heading “GIAY PHEP GOI SUNG VE HOA-KY”  (Firearms Export License)
• A Special Order giving the veteran authorization to “handcarry” the Browning during his PCS (permanent change of station) from Vietnam to United States

Original MACV-SOG 10 (one-zero) vest with blood type (B+) penned on the breast.  One Zero vests were worn by Recon Teams (both US and indigenous personnel) during Vietnam.  There are different patterns of vest depending on the time period and region.  This variation is the one most commonly seen in period SOG photographs, particularly of SOG veteran/author Lynne M Black (see pic).

An original Vietnam War era dried LRRP (Long Rang Reconnaissance Patrol) ration as used by Ranger, Recon, Special Forces, MACV-SOG, SEALs, and other elite units.

The ration is unused and has one or two perforations from storage (see pics).  This item is for display purposes only and would not be suitable for consumption.

An original unissued carlisle bandage in a matte olive drab painted tin marked, “First Aid Packet. U.S. Government., Carlisle Model, Handy Pad Supply Co. Worchester Mass.”

Also included is the original inventory box for the bandage (originally a ten-pack).  The box is dated June 25, 1943 and is in excellent condition.

This is a seldom found blue lightweight type K2A flight suit, as used by pilots and aircrew personnel during Korea, Vietnam, and the Cold War.  The main zipper is a Conmar made with a vintage “bell shaped” pull.  The light material has a few small pulls/runs in spots, and there are two repairable holes on the back (see pic), where the suit had been hung on a coat hook repeatedly.  It has a black and gold embroidered tag that reads:

This is a circa 1950′s – 60′s enlisted mans M46 pattern French Foreign Legion kepi, as used by troops during the First Indochina War.  The black brim has some crazing (see pics).  Otherwise, the condition is excellent.

An original 1951 dated canvas T-7 / T-10 pack tray with camouflage 24 foot diameter canopy and suspension lines in complete, uncut condition.  The canopy is in excellent condition with no rips.

The green canvas tray has crisp nomenclature with early machine sewn master jump wings and partially machine sewn name tape (“Harper”).  Everything in as-found condition and being sold for display/collecting purposes only.  Not to be used for jumping without being properly inspected.

This is a well used pair of original paratrooper jump boots with 12 eyelets.  They have been resoled and one of the soles is beginning to separate (see pics).  They will work wonderfully on a mannequin or in a static display.  They could be polished and shined, but I left them rough for an authentic combat look.  No legible size tag, but the soles measure approximately 12.5 inches.

An original 10k gold, Amico hallmarked Submarine Combat Patrol badge on its original Wosk card.  Harry S. Wosk was an military clothing and insignia store in San Diego, CA during WWII.  Pin-back construction.  Measures 1.5 inches in length.
