The following are items issued to, or acquired by a US 1st Infantry Division Desert Storm / Shield veteran. The lot includes:
- “A Soldier’s Guide to the Middle East” 1st Infantry Division booklet detailing cultures, customs, and conduct
- “Preventive Medicine” 1st Infantry Division booklet dated November 28, 1990
- Laminated full-color instructional cards about the M40 gas mask. Ring bound in the corner
- 5 US propaganda leaflets (2 different types) the soldier picked up as they were being air dropped
- Laminated “risk assessment matrix” the soldier carried into combat
- Color pamphlet about “What You Should Know About ANTHRAX”
- “Media Information Card” issued to the soldier informing him how he should address the press
- “Hazardous Animals and Plants of Fort Riley” issued to soldier during pre-deployment training

This is a Romanian AK-47 drum magazine issued to an Iraqi soldier during Operation Desert Storm (1990-91). It was “captured” and sent home by a US 1st Division veteran, and I purchased the mag (along with several other items) directly from him.

This is an Iraqi issued gas mask / bag, wiping cloth, and complete decontamination kit captured and brought home by a US 1st Division vet during Desert Storm (1990-91). The gas mask bag has a cloth tag with the soldier’s name in Arabic. There is also painted Arabic on the bag (see pic).
